Lebanese-Australian journalist and filmmaker, Daizy Gedeon is one of this year’s recipients of the Global Trade Chamber’s 100 Successful Women in Business Award.
“It is an honor to be representing both Australia and Lebanon,” she said via her social media accounts, adding that it fills her “with both pride and the fire to continue to strive for excellence and revolutionary change.”.
Along with 99 other recipients, the Lebanese-Australian filmmaker received the prestigious award for her work deemed of a positive impact on her community.
Daizy Gedeon will receive the award at the Gala Ceremony in London, England, on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
The prestigious award will feature and recognize 100 women from different backgrounds, from corporate elite to full-time entrepreneurs.
Daizy Gedeon has also won so far 19 awards for her documentary Enough! Lebanon’s Darkest Hour.
The documentary focuses on Lebanon’s many issues, including the years-long corruption, funds embezzlement, and the post-war political status quo that led the country to collapse.
