The cadet officer, Daniela Al Rayes from the Lebanese Army, was awarded the King Hussein Award from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, United Kingdom.
The prestigious award was given to Al Rayes for demonstrating the highest levels of enthusiasm and excellence while attending a training course at the academy.
This award comes just days after the Lebanese Army celebrated its 77 anniversary on August 1st, during which it graduated officers from both genders, for the first time in the history of the Military Academy.
The Lebanese Army promotes gender equality, with strong women soldiers in its ranks. assuming equal roles in the line of duty.
