Partisans of the Lebanese Democratic Party in Rmeileh assaulted the election watchdogs LADE.

Members of LADE, which is short for the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections, take up the task of watching over the elections. They aim to ensure a fair and democratic practice of parliamentary and municipal elections in Lebanon.

LADE monitors have also been threatened this morning in Tyre by Hezbollah and Amal delegates, forcing them to withdraw from the polling station.
