The fashion brand THYM has been a go-to destination for trendy women seeking the feminine pluralistic that the brand offers.
Both soft and solid, flowy and imperturbable, lively and dependable, versatile and refined, the designs are a materialized reflection of the designer’s “paradoxical” personality.
Her name is Rebecca Zaatar, a Lebanese born and raised in Beirut, and a graduate of the ESMOD in Beirut.
She worked closely with Elie Saab for 7 years in his creative department before taking off on her own in 2016, launching her own brand THYM to celebrate the woman of today in all her feminine strength and versatility.
In 2019, she was part of a Maybelline campaign to raise funds for education in Lebanon, supporting the NGO Teach For Lebanon that aims to eliminate educational inequality while fostering youth leadership.
Since her childhood, Rebecca was fascinated with painting, fashion, and art. These multiple sources of creative inspiration, converging with her education and work with Elie Saab, are yielding exquisite designs fit for today’s spirited and independent women.
As stated on her brand’s website, “her pieces don’t fit in a box.”
For Rebecca, “the woman of today does it all, and can be anything she wants, even if those things are seemingly opposite” and so her fashion designs aim to reflect that characteristic, including with her jewelry collection.
They are feminine, glamourous, and versatile, reflecting the modern woman from all walks of life.
In a short time since THYM launched in 2016, the brand made it big and wide, dressing up fans from Lebanon and across the Middle East, and styling regional celebrities, singers, and actors.
