Lebanon’s Ministry of Culture wished for Lebanese living in Lebanon and abroad to support the alternative dance crew, Mayyas Group, by voting for it after it has reached the semi-finals stage at America’s Got Talent.
The Lebanese dance group reached this advanced stage after hypnotizing the jury and obtaining the “Golden Buzzer” on America’s Got Talent (AGT) – season 17 auditions.
The Lebanese Minister of Culture, Mohammad Mortada tweeted that the Mayyas group represents Lebanese artistic diversity.
Adding that “our hearts are with them, Lebanon is united behind them, and the voices of the Lebanese, here and in the diaspora, must be theirs, with great intensity!”
People who are 13 years old and older can vote via in-App voting, and Online Voting, which is open to people who are living in the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
Voting for Mayyas opens on Tuesday, September 6, at 8 pm ET, and closes on Wednesday, at 7 am ET. The voting is for free.
