The
(LDE) is an initiative that builds a bridge between the Lebanese Diaspora and Lebanon. It was launched by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in 2014 under the tenure of Minister Gebran Bassil. The objectives of LDE are:
- Celebrating the Diaspora’s success stories
- Promoting the Lebanese heritage
- Establishing connections between the Diaspora and the residents
- Exploring new possibilities for Lebanon
2018’s first two LDE conferences are just around the corner. Here are the dates: Africa: 2-3 February in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Oceania: 9-10 March in Sydney, Australia. More conferences will take place this year! For updates, click
