Canary.life l Rony Zeeny

This is the first time since 1988 that the American Society of Health Pharmacists has given the title of ‘fellow’ to a member who is practicing the profession outside of the US.

The members of the association, which is the largest pharmaceutical association in the world, exceed 55,000. Less than 2% of the members have obtained the title of Fellow. This Lebanese is now part of this 2%.

Rony Zeenny was selected according to his several medical accomplishments and for his contributions to the profession of pharmacy.

He has held many positions at the American Society of Health Pharmacists, including vice president and head of the Consultative Group.

He is the head of the Middle East branch at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists.

Zeeny has won several awards as well, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Lebanese Syndicate in 2018. The award honored his contribution to improving pharmacy practices.

Thought we were done? Not yet! He is currently a member of the National Committee in the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

He also participates as an expert specialized in setting standards for drug therapy management in the Hospital Accreditation program in Lebanon.

Among his many initiatives is drafting several law proposals, some that are currently under study at the Lebanese House of Representatives.
