Lebanon Just Lost Another Doctor To Coronavirus

Another doctor fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic has sadly lost his life after contracting the deadly coronavirus while in the line of duty.

On Wednesday, the staff at Al-Zahraa Hospital in Beirut tearfully bid farewell to their fellow colleague Dr. Bassem Koteich, who passed away on Tuesday night after suffering the virus for weeks.

A funeral procession was held on the same day in the southern village of Houla, his hometown. Many people attended to pay respects and mourn the loss of the “son of Houla.”

This week, Lebanon also bid farewell to renowned music composer and producer Jean Saliba who died from Coronavirus. Many Lebanese celebrities shared their condolences on social media with sadness over the loss to Lebanon’s music industry.
