The Lebanese Film Farah Won An Award At The Chelsea Film Festival In The USA

After it was selected for the New York-based Chelsea Film Festival, the Lebanese film Farah won the festival’s Special 10th Anniversary Award Feature Film.

Starring Stephanie Atala, Majdi Machmouchi, Hassiba Freiha, and Nader Abd Alhay, the psychological thriller Farah was directed by Kenton Oxley and Hassiba Freiha and produced by Knockout Productions.

The film is about a pre-med student, Lina, who was prescribed the antidepressant Xapa due to nightmares.

A link between her and her birth mother, Farah, suddenly appears when she starts to discover hidden family secrets leading to shattering truth.

Last week, the film won two awards at the Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, Egypt, namely the Best Arabic Film and the Best Art Direction awards.
