The Lebanese Fencing Team Won 12 Medals At The West Asian Fencing Championship

The delegation of the Lebanese National Fencing Team returned to Lebanon with 12 medals from the West Asian Fencing Championship in Jordan!

Lebanese players in age groups U13, U15, U17, and U20 years participated in the competition, achieving remarkable results.

The most prominent medals went to Anthony Bassil, who won the gold medal for the U15 category, and Elias Jalbout who won a silver medal in the U13 age group, both in the fencing sword category.

Bronze medals were won in the fencing sword for U15 by Louis Deeb and Mark Bassil in fencing sword for U13, Chloe el Khazen and Louis Deeb in the Shish Corps for U13, and Mia Menemneh.

Among other Lebanese fencers, Christian Bou Khalil in the fencing sword for U17 and under, and Hadi Dakash in the fencing sword for U20, won a bronze medal each.

The championship, which took place after an absence of more than 4 years, witnessed stiff competition between 150 participants from 11 countries, namely Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Oman.
