During times of crisis, such as the one Lebanon is going through today, innovation can be a powerful weapon of positive change and prosperity. Through it, a Lebanese healthcare service has qualified to compete in an international contest.

Find-A-Nurse is a popular Lebanese online home healthcare service that connects highly qualified nurses, elderly companions, maternity nurses, and other skilled and experienced caregivers with people who request their services.

The service was chosen along with 29 others out of 500 projects from 11 countries to compete for a contest that aims to recognize and support global innovative solutions that can improve the delivery and cost-efficiency of healthcare.

Organized by the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), a Qatar Foundation global health initiative, the contest is divided into two parts: Spark and Booster, which focus on early-stage startups and startups looking for scale-up, respectively.

Find-A-Nurse was selected with 14 other competitors for the Booster contest. One winner will be selected and awarded $10,000.

In addition to the cash award, the winner, alongside the winner of the Spark contest, will showcase their work to global health experts and policymakers at WISH 2020 and benefit from various perks offered by WISH.

Since its establishment, Find-A-Nurse has grown to become a large and extensive online network.

The professionals who offer their services on its platform provide medical and non-medical assistance to the elderly, newborns, and people who require special care.

The nursing platform has won several regional and international awards in various categories, including Women’s Empowerment and innovation.
