Lebanese Hassan Dawy has set a new world record for the “fastest time to identify all national flags,” Guinness World Records announced.

Currently, an honorary student in the 11th grade, Hassan Dawy’s love and passion for geography started at a very young age.

This world record was set after Dawy showcased his interest in geography and flags, identifying all the world’s national flags in only 4 minutes, in Beirut.

After spending all summer season attempting the record more than 1,000 times, it was time for Hassan Dawy to get the success he deserves.

Guinness World Records stated that the 16-years-old Lebanese only beat the previous record by 6 seconds. This record is currently a very popular competition in the MENA region since the last 3 records were set in the Middle East.

“I will be back with many more record attempts to come […] I am proud to say, I now belong to the family of record breakers,” Dawy expressed.

Lebanon holds over 30 Guinness World Records. In 2022, Lebanese Caroline Chaptini set her 5th world record, after building the biggest plastic sphere made out of recycled materials!
