After members of his staff tested positive for the coronavirus, caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan learned that he too has contracted the virus.

Earlier today, Hassan placed himself in self-quarantine after learning that he may have been infected. After receiving his results, he has now been admitted into the hospital for treatment.

Despite the fact that he, in his capacity as a minister of health, must be the epitome of good behavior when it comes to taking health measures, he himself had been spotted not abiding by them fully.

Some examples are his recent participation in a large lunch gathering, as well as the time he was seen cutting cakes in a public celebration.

This comes a day before Lebanon goes into total lockdown with a strict 24-hour curfew for 11 days to combat the surge of coronavirus cases.
