The Ministry of Public Health strongly condemned the repeated and unjustified attacks against medical personnel in Lebanon, the latest of which was the beating of Dr. W. by a patient’s family at the Islamic Charitable Hospital in Tripoli.
The Ministry calls on the security forces to move quickly, arrest the aggressors, and take strict legal measures against them so that similar incidents do not recur.
The ministry will also take the status of personal prosecution against the perpetrators. A delegation from the ministry will be visiting the hospital to find out the details of the incident and check on the doctor’s health.
