The Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities in the caretaker government, Bassam Mawlawi, called for an emergency meeting of the Central Internal Security Council, at 2 pm on Friday, to discuss the security measures that can be taken in light of the emerging events on the banks.

This comes in response to the several raids of banks this week by depositors for their money as the banking crisis in Lebanon persists, leading people to desperate actions.
