Reuters journalist Issam Abdullah was killed and three others sustained injuries when their vehicle was hit by an Israeli airstrike in the Lebanese village of Alma al Shaab.
The vehicle, which was clearly marked as a media car, was in the area covering ongoing events. The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of journalists operating in conflict zones.
This marks the first civilian casualty. Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, 7 Hezbollah soldiers were killed and up to 4 IDF soldiers.
