The Lebanese Taekwondo champion, Laetitia Aoun has qualified for the World Taekwondo Grand Prix III, which will be held in Manchester, England, in October.
The Lebanese champion was selected to represent Lebanon in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix III after the new classification of the International Taekwondo Federation was released, selecting her among the top 32 ranked at the international level.
Winning at the Grand Prix will allow Laetitia Aoun to gain more points to qualify for the Summer Olympics that will be held in Paris, France, in 2024.
Laetitia had previously won a bronze medal in the Islamic Solidarity Game (ISSF), which took place in Turkey last month. She also won the bronze medal at the 2022 Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship.
Tarek Moussalli (under 80 kg) and Ray Al-Rai (weight above 80 kg) participated in Roma World Taekwondo Grand Prix after being ranked among the top 32 players in the world in their respective categories.
