A few months ago, a Lebanese expatriate in Dubai named Musleh Mousa Hassan was declared the winner of the latest Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire during the latest draw at Dubai International Airport.
Hassan won $1 million! He is the seventh person to win this lottery twice and the tenth Lebanese to win the jackpot.
This week, another Lebanese lottery fan hit the jackpot! Antoine Labaki has been buying lottery tickets for four years and finally won a great fortune. He is the 11th Lebanese to win the jackpot.
“I was a little unsure when I received a phone call from Dubai Duty-Free today. It was not until my details were read over the phone that I started to believe that I indeed became a millionaire,” he said.
Labaki has three children and runs a construction business. He hopes that the money will help him grow his business.
This draw was launched in Dubai Duty-Free in 1999. It offers people a one-in-5,000 chance to win $1 million. This popular promotion has already created over 150 millionaires where two winners have won twice.
All passengers arriving, departing or transiting through Dubai International Airport are welcome to enter the draw. Each draw is limited to only 5,000 tickets.
