The Lebanese

Maronite

Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al Rai arrived today to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It’s the first time that the kingdom invites a church leader, unlike Christian politicians who visit the kingdom often. Despite rumors, the Patriarch did not remove his cross during the visit. Pictures are emerging show him wearing the sizeable gold cross. Tonight, he will meet the Lebanese community that is residing in Saudi Arabia at the embassy of Lebanon. As for tomorrow, the patriarch will meet the King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. The patriarch will also meet Prime Minister Saad Hariri who took the world by surprise when he announced his resignation in Riyadh last Saturday. Click
