Once again, Lebanon’s Mayyas Group took America’s Got Talent’s (AGT) stage by storm and wow-ed the jury at the Season 17 Finale.
The dance crew’s marvelous performance was infused with galactic elements and oriental music and caused the four AGT judges and the whole arena to light up as the crowd gave them a standing ovation.
Sofia Vergara did not hesitate to express her awe: “There is nothing that I can say because you all guys are the best thing that happened on AGT […] it was spectacular and on another level!”
Model Heidi Klum said that this performance is “a million dollar act”, adding, “You brought your A-game every time you came and tonight it was A+!”
The English TV personality Simon Cowell had a similar reaction, telling the Mayyas: “This was astonishing, and I’ll tell you something, something has happened with you where I’m beginning to feel a buzz beyond the show. This has landed and it’s gonna grow and become global… it’s huge!”
In turn, Canadian comedian Howie Mandel said enthusiastically “winner winner, chicken dinner. You’ve got to vote America, this is my favorite act on AGT and so great for you, women, and female empowerment, your culture!”
Howie’s comments were then interrupted when the crowd started cheering and chanting “Mayyas” and applauding the group.
This is when AGT’s host, American actor Terry Crews took the opportunity to praise the group’s Lebanese fans, saying eagerly, “Mayyas, your whole country has rallied behind you since the auditions!”
True to fact, the Lebanese have been enthusiastically supporting and proudly cheering for thei Mayyas group conquering the AGT stage one performance after the other. Lebanon’s Ministry of Culture had also joined in, launching a call to all Lebanese living in Lebanon and abroad to vote.
The winner of America’s Got Talent’s (AGT) Season 17 will be announced on Wednesday night, at 9/8 c (AGT’s local time).
