After more than 14 years with MBC Group, senior media executive Mazen Hayek will be leaving his position at the Dubai-based media company soon.
Hayek, who has been MBC Group’s official spokesman and group director of PR and CSR since October 2006, will quit at the end of the year to pursue new opportunities.
“Over the years, I have had the absolute privilege of working closely with some of the best and brightest in ‘media and entertainment,’ not to mention collaborating with transformative leaders, in the public and private sectors…” the Lebanese executive said in a statement.
He continued: “… Those are the remarkable individuals who have enriched my life, each in their own way, contributed to the many successes we have achieved, and helped mould and inspire me along the way. To them, I shall forever be indebted!”
Hayek said that he is leaving “with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation” for his time at MBC Group and for many of his colleagues whom he considers family.
Commenting on the news, the chairman of the company, Waleed Al-Ibrahim, praised Hayek and his performance during his many years with MBC Group.
“The ebb and flow of talent in the content and communications industries are customary,” he said.
“But Mazen has been a long-serving, exemplary representative of our group and an eloquent spokesperson; he has done us proud in the plethora of business and creative forums, conferences, press gatherings, and events that have taken place over the years.”
It is still unknown where the bright executive is heading to and what is the new opporunity offered to him.
