Lebanon has been long known for its outstanding women’s fashion designers, dazzling the red carpets of the world with grace and glamor.
Now, Lebanon is witnessing the rise of fashion designers for men and not just any rise. Cool, trendy, avant-garde, sleek, dapper, and even elegant are just a few things we can say about these fashion designs.
That was most evident during the recent Men’s Arab Fashion Week that took place in Dubai on the weekend of January 28, 29, and 30.
The event featured 15 emerging designers from various parts of the world, including Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Jordan, the UK, France, Switzerland, and the United States.
Among them, four amazing Lebanese talents presented their designs for the fall and winter of 2023 and, to give credit where credit is due, they are outstanding, beautifully accomplished, and apt to stand among the major world brands of men’s fashion.
Maison du Mec
Joseph Jachachian, the fashion designer behind Maison Du Mec, presented the Fall and Winter 2022-2023 collection titled “Le Mec”, with each design unique in its kind.
Maison du Mec was set up in 2018 to design minimalist clothes and ready-to-wear pieces reflecting the personality of the designer.
Ahmed Amer
Ahmed Amer launched his collection “Am I Floating Or…” for the first time outside of Lebanon.
The designs include chic and perfect ready-to-wear clothes from suits and jackets to athleisure wear. Each piece is made special with a pattern.
Emergency Room Beirut
The fashion designer Eric, founder of Emergency Room Beirut fashion brand, established his brand in Tripoli in 2015.
Emergency Room took the runaway in Dubai with bohemian yet chic designs along with psychedelic and trippy feel.
Ta Gueule
Beirut-based Ta Gueule presented “Multitudes” for Fall-Winter 2022-2023, a cool collection of edgy designs of streetwear with three-dimensional effects in a dark and black theme.
