Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs, Hector Hajjar, emphasized ongoing discussions among ministers to address the rising tensions in southern Lebanon.
During his tour in Baalbek, he stated that all ministries are fully operational. Hajjar questioned the European Union’s previous stance on preventing Syrian refugees from returning to Syria due to safety concerns.
He posed a question: “Which is safer today, Lebanon or Syria?” If Syria is deemed safer, he urged the EU to facilitate the refugees’ return.
