Hundreds of young people from 76 different countries gathered at the 27th session of the AFS Youth Assembly, which was held in New York City, between August 12 and August 14, 2022.
They participated in the youth assembly under the theme of “Dare to Reshape the World,” to further the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Among them, Lebanese Nadine Khaouli received the Outstanding Youth Delegate Award for “excellent leadership capabilities and a proven track record of exceptional achievements related to youth engagement,” as expressed by the AFS Youth Assembly.
With that, Khaouli stands as the first Lebanese to be selected for such an award.
