Lebanon’s National Basketball Team Is Now Preparing To Play At The FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers

After brilliantly performing at the FIBA Asia Cup 2022, the Lebanese National Basketball Team is now preparing for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers, Window 4.

On Thursday, August 25, The Cedars will face the Philippines at Nouhad Naufal Stadium, at 9:00 pm.

Lebanese Basketball Federation also announced that Lebanese fans can go to support the National Team by booking tickets on Ticketing Box Office.

The Lebanese players stood out remarkably with their performance throughout the Asian cup, especially the Captain of The Cedars Team, Wael Arakji, who was announced as the cup’s MVP.

19-years-old Lebanese basketball player Youssef Khayat (A.K.A Yo-Yo) performed well during the championship and was among the promising 21st-century prospects that could lead as an Asia Cup MVP in the future.

The Lebanese team’s performance was as great as to attract the attention of major international mainstream media such as CNN which reported on Lebanon’s achievement during the FIBA Asia Cup 2022.

The Lebanese Basketball Team has lifted the spirits and revived the hope and pride of many Lebanese amid the dark times of multiple crises in Lebanon.
