Students of the Faculty of Engineering (FE) and Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) won several grants for their entries to the Murex Awards 2022 to develop their projects.
The Murex Awards 2022 aims at recognizing innovative projects in technology and software development and engineering, as well as encouraging university students to grow and pursue academic success in their respective fields.
Lea Saleh and Joey Youssef from the FE’s Department of Electrical, Computer, and Communication Engineering won the Most Innovative Development Project Award for their project “DisPill: A Smart Pill Dispenser,” receiving a grant of $1,500.-
Similarly, the Most Collaborative Development Project Award was awarded to Nadine Zeineddeen and Nour Mahmoud for the “Hospital Service Robot” project, also receiving $1,500.-
Miria Aoun was granted $1,000 for winning the Best ECCE Student Award.
The Department of Computer Science (CS) also saw the win of Maria Kodei for Best Computer Science Student and a $1,000.- prize for her excellent work in software engineering.
The mobile application, “Grab n’ Walk,” by Marc Bechara, Jamil Saadeh, Roy Hanna, and Youssef Chagoury received $1,500.- for the Most Collaborative Development Project in the Computer Science category.
