The Lebanese Parliament met on Thursday to elect a new President, but as in previous sessions, the election failed to elect a new president.
Here are the results for the 7th session:
- White ballots: 50 votes
- MP Michel Mouawad: 42 votes
- “New Lebanon”: 8 votes
- Issam Khalifeh: 6 votes
- Ziad Baroud: 2 votes
- Badri Daher: 1 vote
- 1 canceled vote
Lebanon’s parliament speaker Nabih Berri then set, once again, a new date for the next session, which will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
