French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York.
Mikati will be in the United States where he will lead Lebanon’s delegation to the works of the U.N. General Assembly.
The Elysee Palace said Macron will also meet with his Iranian counterpart, President Ebrahim Raisi, as Paris warns the clerical state that it will not get a better proposal to revive a nuclear accord.
The French president will also meet with U.S. President Joe Biden, Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss, and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Meanwhile, meetings are being held in Paris between Saudi and French officials over Lebanon’s presidential elections, reportedly aiming to ensure that Lebanon elects a president that can respect the Lebanese Constitution and the Taef Accord and pull the country away from axes.
