Lebanese Professor Wins Award For Outstanding Researchers In The Middle East!

, the American University of Beirut (AUB) professor Dr. Souha Kanj Sharara received an award for her research in the medical and health sciences category. The foundation created this award to encourage researchers in various areas in the Middle East, which are:

  • Medicine and health sciences
  • Engineering
  • Sciences
  • Literature, human sciences, social sciences, and education
  • Technology and agriculture
  • Economics and administrative sciences

In fact, Dr. Kanj was selected among 150 remarkable nominees in her category from numerous countries in the Middle East. The specialization of Dr. Kanj focuses on the field of infectious diseases, more precisely on hospital-acquired infection (HAI). Her research covered important parts of HAI such as epidemiology, risk factors, prevention, and treatment. In fact, she is the head of the Division of the Infectious Diseases at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. In a
