On Saturday, the Lebanese revolution will record 1 year since its onset on October 17th, 2019. To mark the prominent day and affirm the continuation of the cause, Lebanese across the country and abroad are preparing to organize demonstrations and other events.
Here is everything planned for the revolution’s anniversary this weekend.
Another march will take place on the same day in Switzerland, in Place des Nations, Genève. It will start at 2 PM and continue until 4 PM.
#9 Discussion with the independent winners of the LAU elections
The revolution tent in Baakleen, Mount Lebanon, will hold a special event on Sunday, October 18th.
The event will include a review of the revolution’s timeline and progress with pictures and videos, in addition to a discussion circle with the independent LAU students who recently won the university’s elections.
#10 Nabatiyeh event
On Sunday, people from Nabatiyeh will depart to Bisri at 10 AM, in coordination with the rest of the revolution’s movements in Lebanon, to affirm their position in rejecting the Bisri dam project.
Note: Mandatory face masks and social distancing rules apply to all marches and demonstrations in Lebanon and abroad, due to the ongoing pandemic.
