The Lebanese Rowing Champion Rodrigue Ibrahim participated in the 2022 World Rowing Championships, which was held in Račice, Czech Republic.

With the support of the International Rowing Federation, Ibrahim was able to boost his record after several races as he recorded a time of 8:31 minutes for a distance of 200 meters.

He was also recognized by the Executive Director at World Rowing, Vincent Gaillard, for his performance and ambition to participate in the World Championship despite the difficult situation in Lebanon.

It is worth mentioning that despite the Beirut port explosion, which caused the destruction of Rodrigue’s training center and his rowing boat – which he fixed by himself – Ibrahim participated in this prestigious rowing championship and got the recognition he deserves.

According to Arasportslb, coordination between the International and Lebanese Rowing Federations will take place during the coming months to secure training camps for Ibrahim and increase his technical capabilities in preparation for the upcoming competitions.
