A Lebanese single mother-of-three, Yaman, has decided to brave the odds amid the dire economic crisis, acquiring a Tuk-Tuk and offering riding services through the streets of Sidon in South Lebanon.
As per a video published by Reuters, Yaman drives her customers throughout the city to make a living.
Convinced by her daughter, the single mother of three sold her gold to buy the small vehicle, as her living situation became difficult due to the current inflation and the never-ending expenses of raising three children on her own.
As mentioned in the video, she started driving women and children around the city of Sidon. Many people then started encouraging her, as a way to support other women in the field.
Her customers shared that they find the service cheaper than a normal taxi, because of the increasing fuel prices, and many feel safer with her driving.
With the economic crisis crashing a large percentage of the population under the poverty line, people in Lebanon are looking for new ways to make a living or cope with the hyperinflation.
That has been also the case with Ahmad Al Safadi, who has recently used his repairman skills to transform his car into an electric one due to the increasing petrol prices.
