The Lebanese Mechanical Engineering student at the Beirut Arab University (BAU) Mohammad Ali Bilal Dandashli has registered a new patent at the Ministry of Economy and Trade for his final project “The Runway Safety Clearing System By Sectors.”

Dandashli began working on his innovative project in the spring of 2022, and the patent was issued on September 15, 2022.

The project ensures that the aircraft runway is safe and clear from any foreign objects that may endanger the process. The invention also identifies the types of objects and deals with them accordingly.

Last week, the Lebanese University (LU) student in molecular biology Ghosoun Al-Bahri also registered a new patent at Lebanon’s Ministry of Economy and Trade for a wound healing ointment made using pomegranate peels. Here are the details.
