Young Lebanese swimmers returned from Doha, Qatar, where they were crowned with 80 medals and they also scored 9 new national records.
The Lebanese delegate participated in the international swimming championship, where the swimmers athletes scored 20 gold medals, 30 silver medals, and 30 bronze medals.
National coach Mohamed Saqr said that his players achieved 9 new Lebanese records:
- 50m backstroke (10-11 years old female): Maria Saba recorded 34.56 seconds;
- 100m backstroke (10-11 years old male): Jude Aoun scored 1.18.95 minutes;
- 200m butterfly (10-11 years male): Omar Sinno recorded 2.49.84 minutes.
They also broke the records in the 50 meters freestyle (10-11 years male), recording 2.09.59 minutes, in the 50 meters (10-11 years male) with 2.29.37 minutes, 50 meters freestyle (10-11 years old female) with 2.09.64 minutes, and in 50 meters (10-11 years female) with 2.25.25 minutes.
