The 41st edition of the Arab Club Basketball Championship was held this year in Salé, Morocco. The Lebanese basketball team Homenetmen won the championship. The final game was between Lebanese Homenetmen and Moroccan Salé. Lebanon sealed a 99 – 98 win. This title would be the first for Homenetmen and the 8th for Lebanon. The Lebanese basketball clubs Al Riyadi and Hekmeh won this title five times and twice respectively. Homenetmen also won the Arab Women’s Club Basketball Championship this year! The Lebanese team sealed a 61-50 win against Tunisia. 2017 has been a great year for Lebanese basketball! Al Riyadi won the FIBA Asia Champions Cup and is officially the champion of Asia.
