The bread crisis in Lebanon continues to worsen with countless bakeries shutting their doors due to the lack of flour.
The government can no longer provide enough subsidized wheat for the market and what little it can provide gets smuggled or stored.
This has left many Lebanese families without the ability to acquire one of their basic human rights.
As a result, Lebanese people now have to stand in line for hours in order to buy their bread. This has led to countless incidents of fights breaking out in front of bakeries.
On Thursday, July 28th, a 16-year-old boy from Baalbek spent hours waiting outside a bakery to buy bread for his family.
Eventually, however, he got so frustrated that he threw his money down and cried his eyes out.
While Lebanese young people struggle to make ends meet in a collapsing economy, the governing class continues to surprise the world with their incompetency.
