FIBA has officially released the new FIBA Women’s World Ranking, featuring Lebanon among the ranking’s “climbers.”
The Lebanese Women’s Basketball National Team climbed 3 spots and ranked 40th in the world and 8th in Asia.
In recent years, Lebanese basketball players have been making headlines with their stunning performances and taking the winner’s podium in prestigious basketball championships.
Last month, Lebanon’s Men National Basketball Team was also among the “Climbers,” as it was featured in the Top 10 in the Asian ranking and finished 43rd in the World ranking.
Additionally, Lebanese women’s basketball players are also raising Lebanon’s flag in regional and international championships.
Just recently, the Beirut Club women won The Arab Women’s Basketball Club Championship for the 3rd time in a row.
