As part of a new initiative, Meta launched the “Creators of Tomorrow,” aimed at highlighting content creators from across Europe and Africa, and the Middle East.
The “Creators of Tomorrow” unveiled emerging talents from the MENA region who are leading the region’s creative and immersive storytelling.
The chosen creators range from different fields, including gaming, fashion, and arts, as well as technology and social activism.
“They are being recognized amongst their communities for setting the stage for the next generation of content creators through best-in-class innovative formats,” expressed Meta.
Among tens of content creators selected, Meta chose the Lebanese Yara Bou Monsef as one of MENA’s content ambassadors.
As a content creator, Yara plans on using her platform to spread awareness of important issues neglected by Middle Eastern society.
She also wants to play a major role in helping to change the main problems people in Lebanon are facing regarding women’s rights and sign language.
She wants to include all those messages using online trends to reach the biggest audience possible and “to be able to grow as a content creator” while exploring new technologies, she said.
Sharing the news on her Instagram account, Yara expressed that she is “very happy, proud and grateful to Meta Company” for choosing her.
“The choice is a very big responsibility, I promise you that I will continue to work for myself and offer new and meaningful things. This is an encouragement to everyone who does what he loves and works to reach his goal and his dream, what was it,” she added.
It is worth noting that, in addition to being a content creator, Yara Bou Monsef has a Masters’s degree in Molecular diagnostics. She also won the title of runner-up in Miss Lebanon 2018.
