Lebanese youth players achieved great results in the West Asian Table Tennis Championship held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, winning 16 medals overall.
They won 2 gold medals in the U13 male teams (Ramez Dakdouki, Ahmed Fahes, and Teo Shambour), and the women’s singles under 17 with Talia Azar.
The Lebanese women’s team was remarkable, scoring a series of silver and bronze medals:
- Women’s singles: Leticia Azar (bronze)
- Under 19 years old: Maryam Al-Habash (silver)
- Under 13 years old: Yasmina Al-Habash (bronze)
- Under 11 years: Bisan Cherri (bronze)
- Ladies’ duo: Leah Assaf and Leticia Azar (bronze)
- Duo under 19 years old: Maryam Al-Habash and Christy Arida (Bronze)
- Duo under 13 years old: Yasmina Al-Habash and Bisan Sherry (Silver)
- U-13 teams: Yasmina Al-Habash and Bisan Sherry (Silver)
- U19 teams: Talia Azar – Mariam Al-Habash – Laurie Yahinian – Maria Tannous (silver)
The Lebanese men’s team also raised Lebanon’s flag high, achieving the following results:
- Under 19-year-old teams: Saad Al-Din Al-Habsho, Muhammad Nour Al-Habash, and Riad Al-Mawlawi (bronze)
- Duo under 13 years old: Ramez El-Dakdoqi (bronze)
- Duo under 19 years old: Saad Eddin Al-Habash and Muhammad Nour Al-Habash (silver)
- Duo under 13 years old: Ramez El-Dakdoqi and Ahmed Fahs (silver)
- Duo under 17 years old: Riad Mawlawi and Teo Shambour (bronze).
