The country now has 343,584 COVID-19 cases in total since the beginning of the pandemic. These include 2,480 medical workers, of which 7 tested positive for the virus between Monday and Tuesday.
Of the total cases, 90,772 are active, as 248,720 patients have recovered from the disease and 4,092 others have passed away. In the past 24 hours, 55 fatalities and 3,627 full recoveries were recorded by the Health Ministry.
Additionally, 18,187 PCR tests were conducted in the same period, 16,341 of which were administered locally while the remaining 1,846 were conducted at Beirut-Rafik Hariri International Airport.
As of Tuesday, 2,293 COVID-19 patients in Lebanon are undergoing treatment in hospital beds across the country, 952 are in critical condition and occupy intensive care unit beds, and 314 are on mechanical ventilation.
