Lebanon recorded 2,934 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases on Friday, the Health Ministry said in its daily report on the outbreak.
As of the time of writing, Lebanon has 334,093 confirmed cases in total, of which 105,798 are active cases, as 224,380 patients have undergone recovery and 3,915 others have passed away.
2,462 of the total cases are among medical workers, including 6 recorded in the past 24 hours.
Between Thursday and Friday, 49 virus-related deaths and 2,302 full recoveries were registered, according to the report.
In the same period, 19,195 PCR tests were administered in total – 16,905 locally and 2,290 others at Beirut-Rafik Hariri International Airport.
As of Friday, 2,302 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospital beds across the country, 935 are in critical condition and occupy intensive care unit beds, and 305 are on mechanical ventilation.
