Art Dubai 2022 Is Featuring Four Lebanon-Based Art Galleries

Art Dubai 2022 is back on its 15th anniversary. The art fair just opened its door to the public on Friday, March 11th, and until March 13.

This year’s Art Dubai is hosting more than 77 galleries from 33 countries and is taking place at the Madinat Jumeirah hotel.

A variety of art types are showcased, including Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba, and Digital Art, with more than 10 galleries exhibiting NFTs and digital art.

Among them, four Lebanon-based galleries are showcasing the work of many Lebanese artists:

First established in Beirut in 1990, Agial Art Gallery is one of the major modern and contemporary art galleries in Lebanon. It showcases a variety of art from prominent and emerging artists.

It is featuring Lebanese artist Bibi Zogbé at the Art Dubai 2022 with represented artists like Nabil Nahas, Ayman Baalbaki, Samir Sayegh, Michel Basbous, and more.

Saleh Barakat Gallery – Modern Section

Saleh Barakat Gallery is a pioneer in modern and contemporary art, which is now exhibiting at the event the work of artists like Anas Albraehe, Abdul Rahman Katanani, Anachar Basbous, Nabil Nahas, Ayman Baalbaki, and many others.

Mark Hachem Gallery – Art Dubai Contemporary

Mark Hachem opened his first contemporary art gallery in 1996, in Paris. Eleven years later, he opened a second gallery in New York. In 2010, Hachem introduced the Beirut Gallery.

The Mark Hachem Gallery showcases contemporary art and has acquired the attention of more than 200 exhibitions.

Worldwide artists are featured at the event, including Ben Abou Nassif, Hussein Madi, Nedim Kufi, Carlos Cruz Diez, Nasreddine Bennaccer, Nazar Yahya, Philippe Hiquilly, Marino Di Teana, and many other talented artists.

Sfeir-Semler Gallery – Art Dubai Modern and Art Dubai Contemporary

Sfeir-Semler Gallery operates in Beirut and Hamburg, Germany. The gallery focuses on contemporary art and minimal art.

The famous gallery has for years been at the forefront of art production in the Middle East.

The Sfeir-Semler Gallery was the one to establish prominent artists like Walid Raad, Akram Zaatari, and Etel Adnan.

Its spot at Art Dubai 2022 is presenting arts from Aref El Rayess, Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Youssef Abdelké, Etel Adnan, Mounira Al Solh, and many more.
