FIBA has released the ranking of the teams competing at the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 as the Group Phase of the Asia Cup is now done.
Volume 2 of the FIBA Asia Cup Power Rankings featured sixteen teams that competed with all their power to stay on top.
Lebanon’s Basketball Team topped the power ranking, being first among the 15 other teams, beating countries like Australia, Korea, Iran, New Zealand, Japan, and more!
“The Cedars were heading into Asia Cup high on confidence from their World Cup Qualifiers win and that confidence has not dropped, especially after a historical double-digit win over New Zealand,” said FIBA.
It is worth noting that Lebanon won over its Philippines counterpart, scoring 95-80.
The Cedars team, which is ranked 54th in the world, also defeated New Zealand, by scoring 87-72. Lebanon also won over India, scoring 104-63.
Lebanon’s national basketball team is now set to face China for the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 Quarter-Finals on Wednesday.
