The contacts and negotiations for the sea border demarcation file will reportedly intensify in the remaining days of August to reach a solution that would satisfy both the Lebanese and Israeli sides and prevent any possible escalation to war.
The latest extended call between U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein and Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab denoted seriousness in reaching a solution the soonest, the call also denounced Israeli media reports related to the file as over-optimistic.
As 961News previously reported, Hochstein is intensifying his talks between both sides to reach a unified approach, by early next month, and will contact Bou Saab again next week.
“There is no specific deadline for the signing of the demarcation agreement with the Israeli enemy,” according to Al-Binaa sources, “but the deadline is not open-ended.”
