Lebanon Expressed Condolences To Egypt For The Victims Of Cairo Church Fire

On Sunday, President Michel Aoun offered his condolences to Egypt for the victims of a deadly fire in a Cairo church during a mass.

President Aoun called the president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and the Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Lebanon’s Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri also gave their condolences to both the Egyptian President and Pope Tawadros II for the victims of the fire.

The fire erupted in the Coptic Orthodox Abu Sefein church in Giza during a Sunday morning mass and led to 41 deaths, including children, and around 55 injured.

Many Arab countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Iraq, and Kuwait also stood with Egypt and expressed their condolences.
