Lebanese security forces have issued a warning about a social media account linked to Israeli intelligence.

In a statement on Thursday, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) said that its Information Branch had been looking into a Facebook account named “Global Recruitment Company GRC,” which claims that the company is based in Bucharest, Romania.

The account’s operator regularly posts announcements of security job vacancies for people with experience in this field.

“It advertises jobs for everyone in Lebanon, including residents of Palestinian camps, in return for a large salary and keeping the issue of privacy completely confidential,” the ISF explained.

The ISF added that the account has also posted an advertisement requesting representatives for a “private detective” job, provided that the applicant has experience.

“After the website’s discovery, it was found that it had been established on 15-11-2020 via the Wix.com platform, which is an Israeli platform banned in Lebanon, and it is linked to the website: ‘https://www.grcompany.info.’ “

In light of this, the ISF warned people against accessing the aforementioned account, under the penalty of legal prosecution, “due to its association with the enemy’s intelligence.”

Notably, the Lebanese Army had issued a statement a few months ago warning people of Facebook friend requests and messages allegedly linked to Israeli intelligence.
