The Lebanese hockey team participated in the World Ball Hockey Championships, which was held in Laval, Quebec, Canada.
The Lebanese hockey team managed to achieve 2nd place in the Group B of the 2022 Men’s World Championship, after losing to Bermuda (3-2) in the final.
The Lebanese women’s team also participated in the Women’s World Championship 2022 for the first time, however, the team ended up in last place.
The Lebanese Ice Hockey Federation (LIHF) was founded by Montreal-based Charles El-Mir who brought the Canadian ice sport to Lebanon. The LIHF became official with the recognition of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2018.
In 2019, LIHF was officially admitted to the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
Based in Montreal, the LIHF is formed of members of the Lebanese diaspora and with youth operations based in Beirut.
