Lebanon Will Host The 3rd WAFF U18 Girls Championship 2022

Lebanon will host the 3rd West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Championship for young women under the age of 18 from October 17 until October 25, 2022, as Lebanon won the 2nd edition by beating the 2020 hosts, Bahrain, with a score of 3-0.

4 teams will be participating during the championship, namely Jordan, Syria, Lebanon (A), and Lebanon (B), all into Group A.

The WAFF Championship matches are held in 2 stages where the teams will play in the 1st round of the single-stage league system.

In the 2nd round, the 1st placed player in the group’s standings will play against the 2nd placed team to determine the champion, while the 3rd placed plays with the 4th to determine the 3rd place in the tournament.

The matches will be held at the Fouad Chehab Stadium and the tournament opens with a match between Syria and Jordan followed by a match with Lebanon (A) with Lebanon (B).

On the 2nd day of the tournament, Lebanon (B) will meet Syria and Jordan will meet Lebanon (A), and on the 3rd day, Jordan will face Lebanon (B) and Lebanon A will play against Syria.
