In an effort to modernize and streamline vehicle registration processes in Lebanon, the registration department of the Lebanese Traffic and Vehicle Authority recently revealed its initiative to distribute new license plates for both vehicles and motorcycles.
These plates adhere to approved standards and are being distributed to authorized centers responsible for plate pressing nationwide.
In a statement directed to citizens who have previously registered their vehicles and obtained issuance receipts for plates, it was clarified that they can now visit the designated centers to press the plates for their vehicles.
According to the decision of the Head of the Traffic Management Authority (No. 7266/2023 dated 23/11/2023), the cost of casting two license plates has been raised to LL750,000.
Additionally, it was mentioned that “for any violations or complaints regarding this matter, you can contact the number 01/691480.”
It’s worth noting that vehicle registration centers in Lebanon reopened in September after months of intermittent closures due to various crises affecting the country, particularly the economic crisis.
The Lebanese Traffic and Vehicle Authority announced earlier that people can request additional information including announcements, current services, and required documents, by visiting the authority’s website.
Adding that they can find the necessary documents specific to the service needed on there, too.
