For the third consecutive year, the biggest beauty and fashion convention in the world is back in town, and it’s ready to rock and rock our capital! Right, Jamaloukicon Season 3 is only a week away and seaside Biel is readying to host it on June 27/28/29. This is not just one of these commercial conventions we see around. It is gathering not only the biggest international and local names in the industry but the most sought after models and designers in the world.
Jamaloukicon has taken the Middle East by storm. Its international buzz has left everyone in awe, and it is turning, again, into Lebanon’s most talked about event of the summer. Set up and organized by the team of Jamalouki magazine, this convention incorporates both the fashion and beauty industries from both local and international levels.
Like with the two previous years, the 3-day event is similarly expected to have numerous amount of stands in collaborations with the big names of this multi-billion-dollar industry.
The aim of this event, as was notable with the emphasis of the previous seasons, is mostly on the experience of the convention itself rather than on sales.
In fact, it offers a unique opportunity to the public to penetrate the world of utmost glamour and meet the renowned people who are closely affiliated in this sector, among which those we could only see usually “live” on our TV screen.
In the words of JamaloukiCon, the event is “A distinct beauty experience into the world of fashion, beauty, makeup artists, hair experts, conferences, workshops, bloggers, brand experiences, designers, fashion shows. A convention to connect, meet, learn and engage.”
The convention also holds prestigious fashion shows with haute-couture boutiques and almost all the big Lebanese designers to raise money for charitable causes.
Each year, multiple celebrities and influencers both in the region and on an international level joined in. In the previous two seasons, we’ve seen Victoria’s Secret models Izabel Goulart and Sara Sampaio partaking in the panel of the convention.
Camila Coelho, the international Brazilian fashion influencer, was also among those who graced the event with their presence. To the delight of the public, Coelho participated, answering questions and sharing her experience in that field known for its fierce internal competition.
On the schedule for this year, Victoria’s Secret Angel Elsa Hosk will be making the streets of Beirut her runway and she’ll be showing off her wings at Jamaloukicon.
Elsa will be speaking on the panel, along with Dutch blogger Negin Mirsalehi who has a record of 5 million followers worldwide.
Jamaloukicon’s panel will feature strong women of the middle east who have taken Lebanon’s name to an international level in the fashion and beauty industry, such as Lana El Sahely, Valerie Abou Chacra, Cyrine Abdel Nour, Karen Wazen, and her sister Andrea Wazen, whose shoes have been the latest trend with the Hollywood celebrities!
They will all be present, talking to the audience and the international press at Jamaloukicon. Let us not forget the makeup master classes that will be held, also this year, and with the likes of Bassam Fattouh, Dain Yoon, and Nabil Makhoul.
Obviously, it wouldn’t be one of the most long waited events in beauty and fashion if the biggest names in the industry weren’t present! And… Beirut wouldn’t be obviously so great if it wasn’t THE city attracting so many of these top prestigious international figures in that industry.
